I'm so excited to share a glimpse into a beautiful wedding I helped design and coordinate this past August. Jess and Tristan were one of the most easy going couples! When asked what type of flowers she wanted, Jess only required sunflowers be present in some way. Their wedding took place at Blooming Hill Farm with an outdoor ceremony under a large tree and reception under a tent with dancing in the barn. The farm was absolutely lush with vegetation and flowers blooming. The talented photographer Alicia King captured the photos you see below. I'm so proud and honored to have been a part of their day!
I hand painted several ceremony signs since the ceremony took place far off in a field. We wanted to make sure guests would easily be able to find their way around the farm. I thought seed packets would be a lovely favor for the couple to give to their guests since the wedding was on a working farm. The Kirk Estate provided wildflower seeds and I designed and illustrated seed packets with a drawing of the farm's barn.
Since both Jess and Tristan are cyclists and do triathlons, I thought incorporating bicycle wheels into their wedding would be a good personal touch. I spray painted some rims gold and hung the escort cards from them. I created over 100 feet of ivory and gold fabric garland for the wedding too which we hung with cafe lights over the reception tables.
Jess wanted to do some DIY projects herself too. She glittered these table numbers and dipped votive candles in gold paint!
Another hand painted sign I created was for the bar with his and her cocktails using fresh herbs. His: Bourbon, rosemary, and orange bitters. Hers: White rum, lavender, mint, and lime.
